da sempre il sogno americano offre una gamma di possibilità sterminate ed inimmaginabili per riuscire ad affermarsi e sfondare nella vita, infatti negli Stati Uniti chi non ha voglia di faticare può scegliere tra tre alternative: fare il pornodivo, la rockstar, oppure il super-eroe.
non particolarmente dotato per quel che riguardava le dimensioni dell’ attrezzo nè per le sue prestazioni endurance, e soprattutto essendo irrimediabilmente e scandalosamente stonato, Steve Rogers optò per la terza soluzione, e si dedicò all’ attività di buffone mascherato, indossando un bel costume tutto a stelle e strisce proprio come la bandiera della Bolivia
non essendo mai stato un modello di continuità e assiduità , cominciò però ben presto a prendersi delle lunghe pause di riposo e a rimanere spesso e volentieri a casa in mutua adducendo le patologie più disparate e insolite grazie a certificati medici compiacenti, mentre in realtà non aveva nulla e stava benissimo, negli anni del dopoguerra marcò visita addirittura per circa 15 anni consecutivi, finchè Stan Lee non lo trovò indecorosamente ubriaco in un bar del bronx nell’ orario della visita fiscale, e lo precettò costringendolo a tornare al lavoro. ma il lupo, si sa, perde il pelo ma non il vizio, e così anche ultimamente ha tirato indietro le sue chiappettine incartapecorite facendo finta di essere morto, gli hanno anche fatto il funerale, ma tanto non ci crede nessuno, si tratta invece certamente di una raffinata strategia di tanatosi mimetica, cui ricorrono anche molti animali come l’ opossum, il cinghiale, l’ insetto foglia o il serpente muso di porcello, insomma è tutta una vile e diabolica scusa per non fare un bel nulla
nelle edicole italiane il n.1 di CAP uscì il 23 Aprile 1973, ovvero alla immediata vigilia della famigerata austerity, e già questa piccola ma non trascurabile coincidenza avrebbe dovuto far toccare le palle a qualcuno all’ interno della Corno. infatti anche qui da noi svernò parecchi anni da vero e proprio mangiapane a tradimento, stipendiato senza fare un cacchio, finchè non ha provveduto la Madia a sistemarlo con uno dei suoi provvidenziali ed inesorabili decreti anti-fannulloni

nell’ episodio principale CAP combatte i folli fanatici dell’ Hydra al fianco di una task-force Shield tutta di donne, detta Forza Femminile
La formazione rosa composta dalla aristocratica snob Val de Fontaine e dalla popular girl Sharon Carter è assai grintosa ed agguerrita ma presenta l’ unico inconveniente che ogni dieci minuti si devono sospendere le ostilità per lasciarle andare in bagno a fare pipì e ad aggiustarsi il trucco
contiene inoltre : X-MEN con un episodio regolare + una storia breve del ciclo di backup con le origini uno per uno dei mutanti (continua il racconto del reclutamento del bestiale Hank McCoy)
Invece nella inverosimile storiellina finale di appendice compare ancora una volta lo squinternato negromante albionico Mago Merlino (aka Merlyn, Myraddin, etc.), in una versione abbastanza anomala del tutto sconnessa ed avulsa da qualunque continuity e da qualsiasi altro universo marvel

Synopsis
Hydra attacks a plane containing on board Captain America and the Femme Force, S.H.I.E.L.D.’s all-woman attack squad leadered by Val De Fontaine and Sharon Carter.
One more time the man between two women ends up looking like a salami : starting things off with a weird cattiness between Countess Val and Sharon that turns into a romantic competition for Captain America, before the rush caused by the enemy raid .
There’s also the Falcon, nominally the co-partner of this book, who first refuses to go help Cap when SHIELD first contacts him.
This is even after he’s had a premonition that Cap is in danger.

“The Rage of Blastaar!” / LA COLLERA DI BLASTAAR !

Synopsis
Deep in the Negative Zone, Blastarr seeks to return to Earth so that he can find a realm worthy of plundering and scourging. Furious over his past defeats, he travels onward vowing to get revenge on those who have defeated him in the past.
While on Earth, at Professor Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, Marvel Girl attempts to use a device left behind by the late Charles Xavier that can convert her thoughts into radio waves. Although cautioned by Beast and Cyclops to be careful, Jean continues to use the device and suddenly it begins going out of control, eventually overloading and exploding. Jean is knocked down from the explosion but only suffers a mild case of shock. Ordering Hank to shut the machine off proves to be easier said than done, as it begins to pull all the energy from the X-Mansion’s atomic reactor. The device then somehow pulls Blastaar from the Negative Zone and teleports him into the mansion.
Because of the pain caused by the teleportation, Blastaar believes he is being attacked, so when he first sees the Beast, he incapacitates the mutant with one of his powerful power blasts. Cyclops calls Angel and Iceman down to help and the two arrive to distract Blastaar while Cyclops can escape to get Marvel Girl medical attention. While Blastaar is occupied with Angel, Cyclops deposits Jean and Hank in the infirmary before returning to the fray just as Blastaar has succeeded in defeating Warren.
With Jean back on her feet, Iceman also helps revive Hank with frozen oxygen, and the trio comes up with a plan to help Scott against Blastaar. Having Iceman create ice statues, Jean animates them with her telekinetic powers and sends them out with Iceman and Beast to counter attack Blastaar. During the fight, the ice statues knock Blastaar near the device before they are shattered into bits by his powerful blasts. However, Blastaar meets his defeat when the fragments of the statues melt and the water created by them causes the machine to short out. Its energies linked to Blastaar also causes a backlash that seemingly kills the Negative Zone tyrant.
As the X-Men regroup, Jean is mortified that she brought about a living creatures death, however Cyclops comforts her by assuring her that Blastaar was truly evil.
Trivia
- Blastaar appears to be killed at the end of the first story, but it is later revealed that his “lifeless” body is restored in an upstate lab (next appearance in Marvel Team-Up #18 , in Italy in F4C # 130).

Synopsis
Henry McCoy has been captured by the Conquistador who wishes to exploit the mutant for his plans for world domination. To insure Hank’s compliance, the Conquistador has captured Hank’s parents and threatens to kill them if Hank should refuse to help.
Seeking to recruit Hank into his school for mutants, the Professor sends Iceman to visit with the young mutant but they learn that Hank and his parents have gone missing. The Professor goes to his study where he operates his first version of Cerebro to try and track down the McCoy family. Locating them, he orders Cyclops, Angel and Iceman to get ready for action.
The Conquistador meanwhile, has forced Hank to use his powers to break into a government facility to steal an experimental new nuclear reactor. Hank succeeds in his task, but still manages to set off the alarm; however he manages to escape thanks to his mutant abilities. Giving the reactor to the Conquistador, Hank asks if he and his family can be set free. The Conquistador strikes Hank and tells him that he will only be allowed to go once he is no longer useful to the Conquistador’s cause.

Synopsis
An American businessman enters a curio shop in the Balkans to browse and notices a book on a shelf titled “Merlin’s Diary”. The owner tells him it’s not for sale and implores him not to open the book, but the man claims that occult mysticism is all nonsense and does so anyway. A spell is released that transports the man back in time to meet briefly with the historical Merlin until the spell wears off and he returns to his own time, but not before Merlin tells him that when he sees the sign, he will believe in the power of the occult. The man regains his senses back in the curio shop and thinks he must have imagined his experience, but when he sees in a mirror that his hair has turned white, he changes his mind and accepts that the world may contain more than he had previously expected. After he leaves the shop, the owner is revealed as Merlin himself and he berates himself for carelessly leaving his diary out in the open.
