Synopsis
Trapped in his own personal limbo, Daredevil tries to find a way to
pull himself out by increasing his momentum. Meanwhile in New York,
Foggy continues his crusade to learn who is the scientist backing the
Unholy Three with their T-Rays, while the partially restored Debbie
Harris tries to contact Foggy (to no avail). Foggy’s research gets him
captured by the Unholy Three and taken to the Executioner
Daredevil manages to pull himself out of limbo and goes after Foggy and
finds the lair of the Unholy Three. During the battle Daredevil sets off
the T-Ray device causing a large explosion seemingly killing the
Executioner. Wanting to be rid of his Mike Murdock identity, Matt allows
Foggy to believe that Daredevil died in battle. With the machine’s
destruction, Debbie returns to normal and she and Foggy return home to
mourn the apparent loss of Daredevil.

Synopsis
While out testing his new armor, Iron Man is called back to Stark
Industries, changing back to Tony Stark, Pepper informs Tony that he is
needed at the Pentagon immediately. Deciding to go there as Iron Man,
Stark gets to the Pentagon in record time. There the military asks Stark
to deploy Iron Man to help recover a US satellite that has crashed in a
region of China.
Realizing that the satellite crashed in territory controlled by
the Mandarin, and reflects back on his first encounter with his foe.
Traveling to the region in his civilian guise to avoid early detection,
Stark is attacked by the Mandarin’s goons, however Stark manages to get
away and change into Iron Man. Battling the Mandarin, Iron Man begins to
lose the fight as his power begins to run out. At his weakest point, he
is tied up in unbreakable steel bands and put about dynamos that will
destroy him.
Notes
- Iron Man first appears with his Rivet-faced helmet in this story, replacing the horned helmet adopted in Tales of Suspense #48.
- The Iron Man story is Job #X-762.
- This issue features Tony Stark smoking a pipe.

Synopsis

Synopsis
Continued from last issue…
The Sub-Mariner beats the cowardly Krang into unconsciousness
before turning the Revitalizer Ray on to heal Lady Dorma. Turning the
device to full power, Namor succeeds in revitalizing his true love.
With Krang dethrowned and locked up, the people of Atlantis
celebrate the return of their true ruler. During the celebrations, Namor
asks Lady Dorma to sit by his side and asks Vashti the Elder to work as
his adviser in the future, making him a Lord of Atlantis. After the
festivities, Namor asks that Krang be brought to him for punishment.
Much to Krang’s shock, Namor orders him exiled from Atlantis forever and
is thrown out of the kingdom.
Just after Krang’s departure, Atlantis is suddenly shook up by a
powerful quake. When the crisis is over, Namor believes that the damage
was wrought by the surface men’s nuclear bomb tests and decides that it
is time that he returns to the surface to fight for his kingdom of
Atlantis.
