Ancora Ben Grimm alias La Cosa mattatore nell’ episodio principale di questo numero in cui viene affiancato ufficialmente dall’ iconoclasta cyborg coatto CYBERNUS alias DEATHLOK nella sua versione originale con incastrato e fuso dentro tra metallo, plastica e circuiti l’ex colonnello Luther Manning (diffidate pertanto delle imitazioni), la storia registra inoltre le partecipazioni di Nick Fury agente Shield. degli altri tre rimasugli del quartetto di missionari in costume sgargiante, dell’ Uomo Ragno/Spiderman con il solito insignificante ma pregiudiziale cameo, e pure del fantoccio mangianoccioline in odore di presidenza Jimmy Carter interpretato dall’ Uomo Impossibile in uno dei suoi travestimenti più riusciti

Synopsis
Having pulled Deathlok from the future,
Mentallo and Fixer easily take control of the android, and Mentallo
uses his illusions to distract Nick Fury and the Thing long enough for
them to make their escape. They explain to Deathlok that they learned of
his existence when Mentallo happened to read Spider-Man’s mind
following his return to New York after an adventure through time. They
also tell Deathlok that their intention is to use him to assassinate the
President of the United States, who is to be inaugurated into office in
the near future.
The Fantastic Four and Nick Fury, believing that this may be
Mentallo and Fixer’s intention, are guests at the inauguration ceremony.
True enough, Mentallo, Fixer, and Deathlok arrive on the scene,
Deathlok given a rifle to assassinate President Carter, however he tries
to fight his programming the whole way. When Deathlok finally snaps, he
apparently shoots the President.
The Fantastic Four and Nick Fury manage to defeat Mentallo,
Fixer, and Deathlok shortly after and the dead “President” turns out to
be the Impossible Man in disguise, who is alive and well. After the
battle, Reed Richards takes Deathlok into his custody, and the
inauguration ceremony continues as planned.
Notes
- The date of the presidential inauguration (November 20, 1977)
and all references to Jimmy Carter being president and references to his
campaign during the 1977 presidential election should be considered
topical.

Synopsis
While searching for Clea’s whereabouts, Dr. Strange is contacted by
the Ancient One and asked to go to the Temple of Man to seek out the
Book of Knowledge. Traveling there Strange finds that its priests have
been murdered. Finding the lone survivors he learns that the book has
been taken to the realm known as Phaseworld.
Strange travels to Phaseworld and becomes embroiled in a conflict
between Lectra, her sister Phaydra and the angel Tempus.

Synopsis
June 2019, Nashville Tennessee: Killraven and his Freemen have
arrived before the Octotympanum-Viewscope building. In the 1990’s it was
a device which could make your own fantasies a reality. There they find
that the device still works and Old Skull particularly enjoys the lucid
creations and cute creatures the device can create for them.
