Si acchiappano più gli uomini con il look fintamente sobrio e castigato da casalinga anni sessanta di Susan Storm o con quello più esplicitamente trasgressivo, lisergico e yé-yé di Miss Marvel ? L’ unione fa la forza o fa solamente più confusione ? Quanti elefanti ci stanno su una Cinquecento ? Le risposte a queste e a tante altre angoscianti domande sono (forse) nell’ episodio principale di questo numero dove i favolosi Fantastici 4 vengono affiancati dai prodi nonchè incredibili X-MEN !!!
Contiene inoltre : CAPITAN MARVEL e una storia della TORCIA UMANA (ancora una volta alle prese con L’Uomo-Pianta che proprio non la smette di scassargli i già infiammatissimi testicoli)

Synopsis
As Alicia unveils a sculpture of the Thing, the Fantastic Four read the latest news reports of the X-Men. Coincidentally enough, the Puppet Master and the Mad Thinker have teamed up to get revenge on the Fantastic Four, creating a puppet of the X-Men’s leader Professor X in order to use the X-Men as their tools of revenge.
Manipulating Professor X into ordering the X-Men to go and attack the Fantastic Four, they meet the FF at the Baxter Building under the pretense of making a visit to meet the group on friendly terms.
A battle errupts between the two groups, however the X-Men are forced to flee, taking Sue hostage.
Tracking them back to the Mad Thinker and the Puppet Master’s base, learing the truth the X-Men resist the Professors control over them until they can destroy the Mad Thinker’s puppet of the Professor.
The X-Men and the Fantastic Four then team up to fight off the Mad Thinker’s Awesome Android, and with the help of Professor X’s telepathic abilities deactivate the android.
In the aftermath of battle the Mad Thinker and Puppet Master manage to escape, and the X-Men are ordered to return to base, leaving the FF to take the Awesome Android into their possession.
Notes
- Sue Storm mistakenly refers to the X-Men as having defeated the Space Phantom. The Space Phantom was defeated by the Avengers in Avengers #2 (in Italy in THC #6).
- Cyclops’ thought bubbles reveal that he was aware of the Mad Thinker’s involvement before the Mad Thinker reveals himself to the X-Men. This appears to be an error.

Synopsis
While dreaming about his last battle against the Plantman, Johnny is rudely awakened by a bucket of water being thrown on him by the subject of his dream.
Locking the soaking wet Torch in his closet, Plantman then proceeds to rob a nearby hotel and escaping before the Torch can get free and stop him.
At the hotel, Torch is met by his girlfriend Doris who is afraid that Plantman might target her father for revenge once more.
While waiting for Plantman’s next move, the Torch receives a letter challenging him to a one-on-one duel against Plantman.
Battling the villain, the Torch manages to get over begin soaked with water by using week killer against Plantman’s plant attacks. When the Torch finally has Plantman caught, Plantman boasts how he has Doris hostage.
The Torch having guessed that Plantman may do so informs him that he had put Doris in the protection of the Thing who would protect her against any plants that would come to capture her. Soon the authorities arrive and Plantman is arrested.

Synopsis
Skrull emperor Dorrek VII has become aware of recent activity on Earth involving the Skrull’s age old enemies the Kree, most notably the recent activation of the Kree Sentry.
Seeking to find out the truth of the Kree’s involvement on Earth, Dorrek calls the Super-Skrull back to the Skrull home world from his exile after his last defeat at the hands of the Fantastic Four.
The Super-Skrull is ordered to find out what their enemies are up to, and kill Mar-Vell. The reward for success would be anything the Super-Skrull desired. Wanting to be married to the emperors daughter Anelle, the Super-Skrull accepts the mission and returns to Earth.
There, Mar-Vell has just returned from his battle against the Sentry to find that his carrying bag has been stolen from his room.
Suspecting the owner of the hotel, and fearing that tampering may have activated the self-destruct mechanism on it, Mar-Vell rushes out to find the hotel owner.
The owner himself is on his way to the Cape with to turn over to the military there.
